Manchester Dems, GOP Name November Slates

Both parties convened to nominate candidates for the 2013 municipal elections.

Two newcomers are joining a slate of Republican incumbents on the GOP 2013 ticket for the Manchester Board of Directors, while local Democrats have added one new person in the hopes of retaining their 6-3 majority.

Both Manchester Republican and Democratic town committees met this past week to present their respective slates of candidates for the November municipal elections.

The Hartford Courant reported that local Republicans nominated some young blood to their ticket, choosing Patrick Greene, 29, and Tim Devanney, 30. Devanney unsuccessfully ran for the state House in the 12th District.

Meanwhile, Democrats chose Darryl Thames to run as a candidate on the school board, the Courant reported.
