The kitchen serves hot breakfast, lunch and dinner to guests of the Samaritan Shelter, which is located in the same building, Mondays through Saturdays. In 2008, the shelter served more than 40,000 meals to the area's residents in need.

The shelter, which is open seven days a week from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m., provides its residents with clean linen, a hot shower, three meals a day and "a calm, safe, quiet bed for the night." The shelter will not turn people away in extreme cold or heat. It is located in the same building as MACC's Shepherd's Place Kitchen.
