The center itself is housed in the 30,000 square foot machine shop building of the former Cheney Brothers Silk Manufacturing Company.</p> <p>Tours of the building include machinery and looms used by the company during its operation in the 19<sup>th</sup> and early 20<sup>th</sup> centuries. Tours are operated by donation.</p>
