Yoga Helping Kids With Special Needs

Children with special needs are benefiting from Yoga. It can take a child from saying "No/can't" to "Yes!"

As a yoga teacher I feel it's important to meet any yoga student where they are and encourage them into a deeper knowing of what they are physically capable of with respect to their body.

Yoga systematically addresses the body to aid in improving memory, coordination, socialization, behaviors and learning abilities. In the practice of yoga we address these symptoms of the system (body-mind) not being in balance.

In this work that I do with children, there are four parts I focus on:

Each child is a teacher, each child is an individual and each student responds and receives different benefits from a physical yoga practice that offers limitless possibilities to affect the body and brain.

With a Yoga Practice kids are becoming balanced and engaged, empowered and grounded and Ready to Say Yes to fall in love with life!
