Are you a sneaky parent? 6 quick tips to help your teenage son.

When parents want to find out the grade their teenage sons received, or if they did their homework, some parents will be sneaky and ask …

“How’s your day?” or “How was school?” only to really care about the grade they received on the test or if homework is done. I’ve talked with teenagers whose parents do this and it’s very frustrating for the teen.

The parent will come into their room to “talk” but only to stare at their books and homework papers to really see if they’re studying. Your son will most likely recognize what you’re actually doing and will upset him. The parent also implies they don’t trust their teenage son.

If you’re guilty of this please stop! It won’t help. The parent is coming across as only caring about him if he has good grades or if homework is done. It’s a better idea to actually care about him no matter what. If he isn’t doing homework or hates school, I recommend other options for learning.....
