Run Around Rentschler Field to Help Foodshare

Proceeds from the event, April 29, will go to benefit Foodshare.

Big Boy Racing is hoping that you'll lace up your sneakers and come out April 29 to run around Rentschler Field in East Hartford for a good cause - Foodshare.

The Run at Rentschler starts at 10 a.m. and features both 5k and 10k distances (the 5k is open to walkers as well).

In addition to the races that day, the event will feature a live DJ, "great swag bags," water stations and plenty of cheering fans and volunteers along the race course. Runners can opt to create or join a team for charity and set optional fundraising goals. More information and entry fees for the races can be found here

Organizers said they are hoping to attract more runners and sponsors to maximize the donation to Foodshare, a charitable organization that distributes more than 12 million pounds of food per year to needy area families.

Assumption School offers an excellent education, with small class sizes. The environment isRead More welcoming for every child, and values that last a lifetime are taught. Students also make friends for life. I still hang out with my friends from the Assumption School class of 1966!
