MARC's WalkFest Block Party Offers Fun For the Whole Family

The event will feature live music, kid games, vendor booths, moon bounces, face painting and lots of fun for all ages.

The forecast looks a lot friendly this weekend for MARC’s WalkFest Block Party, an event that offers fun for the whole family, after the threat of rain forced the in late September. 

MARC, Inc. of Manchester’s 3rd annual WalkFest Block Party will now be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Northwest Park, 448 Tolland Tpke.

The event, a combination of a walkathon and a block party, offers an affordable night of family fun while also raising money for the group’s .

“This money will go directly into the renovations of those two new buildings to get them up and running and also to provide additional opportunities within the renovation process,” said Kevin Zingler, MARC’s Director of Marketing. “It’s going to be a fun night to raise awareness and raise funds for people with developmental disabilities.”

The day of family fun features live music, kid games, vendor booths, moon bounces, face painting and more. A family fun pack will be available for $20 (for a family of four, $5.00 each additional member) which includes unlimited moon bounces, dinner, a live band and more! Individuals may also still register to walk for $10 and can start a team by registering online via www.marcct.org. Walkups will also be welcome the day of the event.
