April DiFalco, director of membership services for the chamber of commerce, and one of the organizers of the event, said more than 30 local businesses will be in attendance that day. "This home and business expo is the first of its kind for Manchester in a long time," DiFalco said. "Normally our expo has been a business-to-business expo open to only chamber members. The chamber saw the need for a community wide Expo, to showcase our local businesses, whether they are members or not, they are part of the community and are the reason why our community continues to thrive."

DiFalco said the event will also directly benefit the community by giving back to Manchester Area Conference of Churches charities, specifically the food and fuel banks.

"We are asking the public to bring a non-perishable food item or $1 for the fuel bank for entry," DiFalco said. "The event will have family fun activities, food samplings and most importantly our local business participants. We want the community to know that whatever you may need, you can 'get it here,' and encouraging folks to 'buy local.'”

Please bring a non-perishable food item or $1 for the fuel bank as your entry fee. Call the Chamber at 860-646-2223 for more details.
