Volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed for a Community Clean-Up Day at Oak Grove Nature Center, 269 Oak Grove Street, Manchester that is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Oak Grove Nature Center is a fifty-two acre nature preserve which is open to the public from dawn until dusk daily and offers miles of hiking trails, a picturesque covered bridge and a beautiful pond. Participants will clear trails, spread mulch, mow grass, make bridge repairs, and maintain the teaching facility.

Volunteers should meet at Oak Grove. Materials will be provided, but please bring along any extra supplies that will be useful to the clean-up effort such as gloves, wheel barrows, chain saws, shovels, rakes, and paint brushes.

The Lutz Children’s Museum utilizes the property for outdoor education programs intended for young children and school groups.
