Community Corner

Faith in Action

On April 15th, from 10 AM-2 PM, nearly 100 volunteers from Concordia Lutheran Church in Manchester will arrive at MACC Charities to paint, clean, and perform general maintenance as part of their annual Faith in Action day. Along with the support of local businesses, Concordia is providing all of the materials to accomplish a variety of tasks, including painting the community soup kitchen and pantry.

The Manchester Area Conference of Churches exists to serve the basic unmet needs in the Greater Manchester Area by providing food, shelter, clothing, and advocacy. Concordia Lutheran is one of thirty-six member churches who support MACC’s mission by organizing groups of volunteers and generously offering time and resources.

Though Faith in Action is an annual event coordinated by Concordia Lutheran, the event is open to other volunteers in the community who want to participate or offer support. Electricians, painters, and carpenters are especially welcome!
