Cutting and Curling for Little Theatre of Manchester

It's not unusual for local businesses to support community theater, and certainly not one that's been around as long as LTM has.  We're in our 53rd season!

Restaurants like Cavey's, Hartford Road Cafe, Landmark Cafe and Adams Mill offer discounts to our patrons, we often borrow lights from Beacon Supply, we work closely with larger businesses who provide financial support as well.  So, business and theater is a great marriage!

Every so often, though, because of the play and the activities of the actors, we need to call in a technical advisor to give 'lessons' on particular skills so that the actor's movements can be authentic. This the case with LTM's next production, Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling which opens on April 11.

We contacted Katherine Kamerer of Katherine's Hair Design on Main Street in Manchester for the skills and expertise of what a hair dresser would do in our salon - Truvy's Beauty Salon.

Thanks to Katherine, actors Mary Roane and Jess Schladebeck now know the way to wash, curl and provide the finishing touches to their 'customers' - Angela Dias, Marisa Clement, Debi Freund and Dawn Maselli.

It's the little things that create the right mood for our audiences and engage with them so they feel right at home in each of our productions.

Join us at Truvy's for three weekends through April 27.  (No show on Easter Sunday, but we've added another Thursday performance).  And stay for a Director's Talk Back immediately following the Sunday matinees on April 13 and 27.   860-647-9824 for more information and to purchase tickets.
