Vigil for Fallen Manchester High Student Scheduled for Monday

A vigil will be held Monday evening to honor the fallen Manchester High School student Malvrick Donkor.

A vigil in memory of Malvrick Donkor, the Manchester High School freshman who died last Wednesday after an accident in the school's pool, will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Manchester High School.

The event will begin with a brief program outside the Freshmen Center, which is on the Summit Street side of the high school.

After speeches, prayer, music and a candle lighting ceremony, the program will move indoors and continue in the school cafeteria. It will conclude with refreshments. Students, parents and others who wish to celebrate the life of Malvrick are welcome to attend.

Prayers to the young child who died at our high school. The same pool I feel saved my life as a refuge in my young years! Very pleased to see the large community support for you and your family as you were loved! A tragic accident and also thinking about the teacher and hoping guilt and blame doesn't destroy you! I'm confident it wasn't malice or intent just an accident! Please be well too.
