MHS Plans 'Ice-Breaker' Event for New Freshmen

The high school plans two events to orient new freshmen for the start of classes, Aug. 31.

has planned the following event for incoming freshmen students and their parents on the first day of the new school year, Aug. 31, to orient them Manchester High high experience: 

Parents and guardians of incoming ninth-graders at Manchester High School are invited to attend “freshmen first day” activities on Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 7-9 a.m.

The program begins with a continental breakfast, and is followed by tours of the freshmen center, a chance to sign up for home computer access to grades, and a meeting with each student’s team of teachers.

Parents and guardians should report to the lobby of Bailey Auditorium. The high school is at 134 East Middle Turnpike. For more information please call 860-647-3521.

Manchester schools open Aug. 31 for students in kindergarten through grade nine. Students in grades 10-12 start classes Sept. 1.
