Manchester Public Schools Hire New Assistant Superintendent

Manchester Public Schools today announced that they have hired a Connecticut State Department of Education consultant as its new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. 

Amy F. Radikas is currently employed as a language arts consultant and program grant manager for the Connecticut State Department of Education. Radikas, who works with 15 school districts to help them implement the Common Core standards and achieve learning gains, will begin her new position with Manchester Public Schools in July. 

Previously, Radikas served as the K-5 language arts coordinator in Middletown and was a classroom teacher at the Regional Multicultural Magnet School in New London.  Radikas is a Connecticut native and holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary school education from Boston University, a master of education degree in reading from Southern Connecticut State University, as well as a 6th year certificate in educational leadership. Radikas is currently enrolled in a doctorate of education in leadership and professional practice program at Central and resides in Glastonbury with her family.
