Manchester Public Schools, East Catholic, Cheney Tech, MCC Closed Monday

With snow removal still underway and a wintery mix of weather predicted for Monday, several schools in the town and surrounding area are closed for Monday, Feb. 11.

Despite the sun and beautiful weather Sunday, snow removal throughout the region remained a challenge with more then 2 feet, and in some cases 3 feet, of snow blanketing the area.

To add to the challenge, a mix of freezing rain and sleet are expected to fall in Manchester just in time for the morning commute on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Because of the snow removal efforts, and the predicted freezing rain, school officials from throughout the town and region have canceled classes for Monday, Feb. 11.
