Manchester High's Isaacs Honored As One of the Nation's Top 400 Senior Football Players

Andrew Isaacs has been nominated as one of 400 high school seniors nominated to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

As if expectations for , the football player who has already received scholarship offers from a number of top universities, weren't already high enough going into his senior year, he was recently nominated as one of 400 potential players for the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Out of 400 high school seniors nominated, 90 will be selected and invited to the bowl game Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, between teams from the East and West. The game will also be televised live at 1 p.m. on NBC. Last year's game drew over 39,000 spectators to the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

"The U.S. Army All-American Bowl provides the national platform for young athletes and musicians to showcase their talent and strength," said Bruce Jasurda, chief marketing officer of the U.S. Army in a statement. "This nomination recognizes the mental, emotional and physical strengths, and leadership qualities, Isaacs possess both on and off the field."

Manchester High School Athletic Director Lindsey Boutilier said that Isaacs' nomination is further proof of the recognization of his talents and potential as a football player.

"It just proves that he's nationally recognized, recognized around the country as one of the top talents," Boutilier said. "And this just proves it even more."

Boutilier said that coaches from a number of college football programs continue to request to speak with Isaacs, and that members of the coaching staff from the University of Tennessee would be visiting the school next week for that purpose.
