Illing's Uniform Fund Gets a Little Help From Its Friends

Members of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Hartford stopped by the middle school last week to make a donation toward the school's new Uniform Dress Code initiative.

Students at Arthur H. Illing Middle School received quite the visit last Friday morning – when more than half a dozen motorcycles came roaring down the school's driveway.

The bikes belonged to members of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Hartford, who stopped by the school to make a special donation in support of Illing's newly adopted .

Illing Student Council members were present for the visit, where members of the motorcycle club presented a check for $150 to eighth grader Dante Mauriello, which the school will use to purchase extra uniforms for students who have financial difficulty and to establish a "clothing bank" for students.
