Gizmo is in Rockville's Corner for the Thanksgiving Eve Game

When he barks, players listen.

Sorry, Ted.

Gizmo's siding with Chris.

That's right, the Wonderdoglet himself, who gained fame in Patch's recent Top Dog contest, took a break from saving lives and helping with shelter adoptions to ponder the friendly wager Vernon Patch editor Chris Dehnel and South Windsor editor Ted Glanzer have on Wednesday's big game.

If Rockville High School Wins, Glanzer had to write a story about five things that make Vernon better than South Windsor. If South Windsor wins, it's Dehnel who has to do the writing touting South Windsor.

The Thanksgiving Eve game is scheduled for 6:30.

But Gizmo will be wearing blue.

Here's what he said through his agent in a prepared statement:

Dear Oncle Ted: Even though I am Patch's Manchester Top Dog, Rockville has always hit close to home for me. I am a strong supporter of community involvement in youth sports. See you at the big game! Cuz we're frens! Sined, The Gizmo.

This is, of course, coming from the most interesting dog in the world.

Famous chefs don't just give him a doggie bag, they fill a suitcase for his ride home.

Purina consults with him regarding Dog Chow.

Fire hydrants beg for him to go on them.

Gizmo doesn't always watch football, but when he does, he roots for Rockville.

Stay hungry, Rams.

He says he is a "strong supporter of community involvement in youth sports", which I have a hunch means across the board.

Any chance that the game will be live streamed on the internet?!!
