East Catholic Hosts Open House for Class of 2016

East Catholic High School in Manchester will host its annual Open House for eighth graders and their families on Thursday, November 10; check in begins at 6:45 p.m. The school has fully recovered from last week’s storm, and is ready to welcome all eighth graders and their families who are interested in learning more about the school. Students and their families will receive information on the school and its programs, tour the campus, and meet current students, teachers, and administrators. Students may also register for the school’s entrance exam, to be given Saturday, December 3, at 8 a.m. at the school.  

Know for its half-century tradition of academic excellence, East Catholic is a coeducational college-preparatory school of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Each year, 99% of graduates continue their education at the college level, 95% at a four-year college or university. Students in the Class of 2011 were offered more than $10.4 million in college grants and scholarships.  Students at East consistently score well above state and national averages on the SAT. SAT scores for the Class of 2011 are: math, 549; writing, 544; critical reading, 542.
