Celebrate Earth Weekend

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 41 Park St. Manchester is
hosting a weekend of activities on Saturday, April 21st and Sunday, April 22nd in celebration of Earth Day and nature’s bounty. Saturday’s activities begin at 9 a.m. with coffee and welcome followed by free seminars on 1) home energy audits and window replacement by Ron Biffinger of Save Home Energy, Inc. at 9:30 a.m., 2) home insulation by Mark Davis of U.S. Insulation Corp at 10 a.m., 3) energy saving tips and bingo by CL&P at 10 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. and 4) alternative energy sources i.e. geothermal and solar
resources by Nutmeg Mechanical Services, Inc. at 10:30 a.m.  Come join us for the entire morning or just a single seminar. There will also be 1) a plastic bottle and aluminum can drive by St. Mary’s youth and 2) a collection of desktop CPU towers (i.e. no monitors, printers, etc.) for recycling by PC Strikeforce from 9-11 a.m.  Following these seminars, the focus will shift to the creatures of the earth with the Blessing of Animals at 11:45 a.m. featuring a Fidelco volunteer as our guest speaker. So bring your animal friends of every shape and size to the church and celebrate their existence in your life.  On Sunday, St. Mary’s will hold an Earth Mass at 9 a.m. and continue the plastic bottle and aluminum can drive and the collection of desktop CPU towers from 7 a.m. to noon.  For additional info, please call St. Mary’s at (860) 649-4583 ext. *814.
