Bullying - What’s a Parent to Do? Seminar

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO FEBRUARY 8, 2011:

With the repeated reports about the disastrous results of prolonged bullying, Conscious Choice Life Coaching and The Academy of Martial Arts and Personal Development have teamed up with Manchester Memorial Hospital’s Child & Adolescent Services Department to present a free seminar open to the public entitled “Bullying - What’s a Parent to do?”.

The seminar will be held at Manchester Memorial Hospital in the Auditorium on Tuesday, February 1st from 7:00 - 8:30pm. Parents will be presented with strategies to prevent children of all ages from being bullied, what to do if they are currently being bullied from both the child’s and parent’s perspective and how to prevent children from becoming bullies themselves.

Seminar leader Joel Waldron, says, “Parents just don’t know where to turn to when their children are repeatedly bullied at school. Parents really do have other avenues to pursue when the obvious ones are not working.  Most people simply just aren’t aware of them.”

Manchester Memorial Hospital’s Child & Adolescent Services department will offer advice on what to do if your child has been bullied and is suffering from the emotional side effects common with prolonged bullying..

The seminar leader, Joel Waldron is the owner of The Academy of Martial Arts & Personal Development in Manchester, and the owner of the Conscious Choice Life Coaching.  He is also a Professor of Martial Art studies at Manchester Community College and is consulting with Manchester High School for their “Bully Busters” program.

For more information or to book this seminar for your organization, contact Joel Waldron at 860-985-7369 or Joel.Waldron@Gmail.com.
