Board of Education to Discuss Fate of Nathan Hale School

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room at 494 Main St.

The Board of Education could decide Monday night whether it wants to continue to be responsible for the upkeep of the now closed Nathan Hale School, or hand the responsiblity - and cost - over to the town.

When the school board discussed the matter earlier this month, members indicated that the board of education could not afford the cost to maintain the now shuttered Spruce Street school. But several members of the school board were absent, so the board delayed making a final decision.

That decision could come Monday night, as it appears on the Board of Education's agenda.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room at 494 Main St.

The full agenda is attached to this article as a PDF.
