The League of Women Voters of Greater Hartford and West Hartford Community Television are sponsoring a debate between candidates for the First Connecticut Congressional District.
The debate will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at West Hartford Town Hall. John B. Larson (D) Democratic Party, John Henry Decker (R) Republican Party, S. Michael DeRosa (G) Green Party, and Matthew Corey (P) Petitioning Candidate are all scheduled to participate.
The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. It is also being streamed, and will telecast:
LIVE in West Hartford on Comcast Channel 5
LIVE on www.whctv.org.
LIVE on AT&T U-verse Menu 99 and navigating to the West Hartford drop down and then selecting Channel 5.
This will be the only scheduled debate between the candidates.
“It wasn’t easy to confirm the debate but it was the most asked question the last month by voters wherever I went,” stated John Henry Decker in a news release. “We have been trying for months, but in the end, I am glad Congressman Larson agreed he had a responsibility to the voters and accepted the proposal we put forth through the League of Women Voters.”
