State Senator Meets With Manchester-based Vendor at Capitol

The Connecticut Vending Association stressed the importance of working together with state officials as a partner on any new legislation that involves the industry.

On March 14 at the State Capitol, State Sen. Len Suzio met with members of the Connecticut Vending Association (CVA), including John Derrick of Manchester-based Burdette & Beckmanwho spent a day educating state legislators and staff as to how the industry has made great strides in providing healthier food alternatives.

CVA stressed the importance of working together with state officials as a partner on any new legislation that involves the industry.

"The Connecticut Vending Association made an excellent presentation," Suzio said. "Their outreach efforts are much appreciated by all of us here at the State Capitol.  We share a common goal and that is to make sure we create a business climate in Connecticut that grows jobs."
