Timothy M. Devanney, the son of Owner , has announced his intention to run as a Republican for the 12th District State Representative Seat currently held by Democratic Geoff Luxenberg.
Devanney, 29, cited his tradition of entrepreneurship and said he would pursue "a more sensible fiscal approach in Hartford" if elected.
“I need to do what I can to make this not only a great place to live, but a great place to do business," Devanney said in a statement. "If small businesses grow, jobs grow and so do the opportunities for those businesses to enrich their community."
Devanney lives in Manchester with his wife Brittany and said he would be honored to represent the town that his family's business has served for years.
“As a small local company, we have a responsibility to give back to the communities in which we do business” Devanney said.
Luxenberg is a Democrat serving his first term in the legislature.
