Portrait of Director Kissmann to be Unveiled at Manchester Fire Headquarters Monday

The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Manchester Fire Headquarters at 75 Center St. on Monday, July 29, 2013.

Rudy Kissmann, a longtime staple in town and a member of the Manchester Board of Directors, will be honored with his own portrait at a ceremony Monday, July 29, 2013, at Manchester Fire Headquarters.

The portrait was painted by renowned local artist Hans Weiss, who personally selected Kissmann as his subject to honor his nearly half-centure of service to the town of Manchester.

Kissmann served as a member of the Manchester career fire department from 1965 to his retirement in 2006, holding the posts of fire fighter, paramedic and Fire Marshall in town. He has also been member of the Manchester Planning and Zoning Commission, the Manchester Inland Wetland Commission and the Manchester Board of Directors.

Weiss' portrait of Kissmann will be unveiled during a ceremony at the Manchester Fire Headquarters at 75 Center St. on Monday, July 29, 2013.
