Manchester Memorial Day Parade Held Under Clear Blue Skies

The Memorial Day program at Center Memorial Park was dedicated to the memory of Harold “Pinky” Pohl, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and long time member of the Permanent Memorial Day Committee.

After last year's cancellation due to rain, the Manchester Memorial Day Parade was held under clear blue skies on Monday with temperatures reaching the mid-80s. The parade Marshal was Norman Stevenson, U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Honorary Parade Marshals were Rocco Lupacchino, U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Rudy Kissman. U.S. Navy veteran, 1960-64. The Memorial Day program at was dedicated to the memory of Harold “Pinky” Pohl, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and long time member of the Permanent Memorial Day Committee. The youth speaker was East Catholic High School Junior Alessandra Zaccardelli. The Memorial Day address was given by Manchester Police Chief Marc Montiminy. The Center Park ceremony was ended by the Manchester High School Band playing its rendition of “God Bless America.”
