Learn How Manchester's Government Operates in Government 101

Curious how Manchester's town government operates?

The following is a press release from the Town of Manchester: 

Government 101: The Town of Manchester is now accepting registration for the Manchester Neighborhood Academy’s – Government 101 Fall 2013 Class. Manchester Government 101 is an exciting series of classes taught by Manchester City Leaders.  

Academy participates will get an inside look at the municipal operations covering everything from public safety to public libraries. The course features a lively blend of demonstrations, presentations and tours, all conducted in a casual format at numerous sites throughout the Town.

Participants can expect to come away with a heightened awareness and knowledge of local government operations as well as a greater understanding of how to get involved in local affairs.

The 10-week Manchester Government 101 class will begin on Thursday, September 12, 2013 and will conclude with a promotion ceremony on Thursday, November 21, 2013.  

The sessions are free and held mostly on Thursday evenings with a few exceptions; anyone living or working in Manchester are welcome to apply. The Manchester Neighborhood Academy is an initiative of the Town of Manchester Office of Neighborhoods and Families, Human Resources and Police Departments. Programs are made possible by help from our Academy Partners.
