"At the March 14th MRTC meeting, the Manchester GOP elected a slate of officers to lead the committee through the 2012 - 2014 term," Chairman Matthew Galligan said in an email statement to Patch. "We will move forward with the determination necessary to offer solutions to the many issues facing Manchester taxpayers. We wish those who do not agree with us or who no longer stand with us a successful future for their families, but the MRTC must turn our attention to the future and our contribution to the strengthening of Manchester. The 2012 election offers the voters a chance to choose progress and a new direction and the MRTC will be a part of that."

At the same meeting, Galligan was re-elected chairman of the Republican Town Committee, a post he has held since July of 2010.
