Public Hearing

The Planning and Zoning Commission is considering adopting a new Form-Based Zone regulation as an amendment to the Manchester Zoning Regulations. The regulation is intended to be applied to the Broad Street Redevelopment Area. Form-based zone regulations are intended to provide flexibility while ensuring a compact, vibrant, pedestrian friendly mixed-use development. The proposed regulations will have provisions for uses, building types, street types, open space, site development standards, landscaping, lighting, lot dimension requirements, administration and non-conforming uses. A public hearing will be held on March 5, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room, 494 Main Street, Manchester, CT. At this hearing interested persons may be heard and written communications received. A copy of the proposed zoning regulation amendment may be reviewed online, or in the Planning Department, 494 Main Street, during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. http://www.townofmanchester.org/Planning/documents/ProposedFormBasedZoneRegulations.pdf
