Board of Directors Expected to Donate Home to Disabled Veteran Tuesday

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room, 494 Main St.

When the Manchester Board of Directors meets Tuesday, it will consider a resolution to convey a home at 14 Cornell St. to Purple Heart Homes, to be renovated and turned over to disabled Iraq War Veteran Sandra Lee.

The home is valued at $55,000, which consists of taxes owed on the property and administrative expenses, which will be repaid to the town after any future sale of the property. Purple Heart Homes still plans to significantly renovate the home for Lee through donated labor and materials.
