Vernon Sex Offender Violates Probation Twice in Same Week by Contacting 15-Year Old Manchester Girl

Christopher Adam Tierinni is currently being held on a $400,000 bond at the Hartford Correctional Center.

A 27-year old Vernon man and convicted sex offender is in custody on a $400,000 bond after police say he violated the terms of his probation twice in the same week by repeatedly contacting a 15-year old Manchester girl.

The man, Christopher Adam Tierinni, of 61 West St. Apt. #2, Vernon, was first arrested on violation of probation charges on June 11 for being in contact with a 15-year old girl. Tierinni turned himself in on a violation of probation warrant to the East Hartford Police. Bond was set at $100,000 for that offense.

Tierinni violated his probation again on June 18 when police say they found the same underage girl slouched down in the rear passenger seat of his van in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in Manchester. Police say that the girl’s grandmother initially notified them that Tierinni was in contact with the girl, and that she was concerned about the relationship because he was a registered sex offender. Police say Tierinni was instructed not to contact the girl again after he posted bond on June 11, but that he admitted before his June 18 arrest that he had been in "constant contact" with the girl since his release.

Tierinni told police that he had not been intimate with the underage girl, who he said worked with his sister, and that he “felt bad for her” and was trying to help her because the girl claimed her grandmother abuses her. Correction: A previous version of this story contained inaccurate information about the location of Tierinni's arrests; he was not found in the same vehicle with the underage girl on June 11, but turned himself in on a violation of probation warrant to the East Hartford Police on that date.
