Two Westbrook Men Arrested in Alpaca Slayings in Essex
23-year-old Shawn Malcarne 21-year-old Kyle Rosetti, both of Westbrook, face numerous charges in the stabbing deaths of four alpacas in December, police say.
Two men from Westbrook were arrested Tuesday night in connection with the at Applesauce Acres farm in Essex last December, according to the Middletown Press.
21-year-old Kyle Rossetti and 23-year-old Shawn Malcarne face multiple charges, including third degree burglary and conspiracy to commit animal cruelty, the report says.
The two men turned themselves in to police around 5 p.m. Both are due to be arraigned Wednesday.

More arrests are pending, the report says.
Shortly after the deaths of the animals two days before Christmas, the owner of the farm offered $13,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
