Police Arrest Two in Keeney Street Break-In, Gun Theft

Police chased two men through the neighborhood Friday afternoon after reports of a break-in on Keeney Street, leading to the lockdown of Keeney Elementary School.

Two men were arrested Friday afternoon after they broke into a home on Keeney Street, stole a gun, and were chased through the surrounding neighborhood by police. 

According to Manchester Police, Pablo Juan Nunez Jr. and Juan Manuel Velasquez broke into a residence on Keeney Street and stole a gun. Police chased the two men through the neighborhood, causing a commotion on South Main Street Friday afternoon and leading to the lockdown of Keeney Elementary School, according to NBC Connecticut

Velasquez and Nunez Jr. were both eventually apprehended by police. Both men were charged with theft of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a permit, third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, fourth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespass and interfering with police.
