State Police Searching for Convicted Sex Offender

State Police are in search of Christian Robert Santiago in connection with the sexual assault of a child.

The Connecticut State Police are actively searching for Christian Robert Santiago, a 28-year old Hispanic man, on an extraditable warrant for the sexual assault of a minor.

Santiago, described as a 5’11” black haired, brown-eyed male weighing approximately 180 pounds, is a convicted sexual offender with a known affiliation to the Crips gang. Police say he has numerous tattoos, including one on his left shoulder. Santiago’s court set bond for the case is $500,000, and he also has a second violation of probation warrant for his arrest with an additional $200,000 bond.

Santiago has ties to the Enfield, New Britain, Torrington and Winsted areas, as well as relatives in New York City and upstate New York. Police say Santiago is aware of the existence of the warrant and has made the comment that he will “not go back to prison.”
