South Windsor 'Cop on Top' of T.S.I. Harley Davidson

South Windsor Police Officer Ron Littell is standing on the roof of T.S.I. Harley Davidson in Ellington for the "Cop on Top" event to raise money for Special Olympics Connecticut.

South Windsor Police Officer Ron Littell said he didn't mind standing on top of the roof of T.S.I. Harley Davidson in Ellington all day Friday, Aug. 23, 2013; and he said he's not going to mind it when he does it all over again all day Saturday, either.

Littell, who is standing on the roof of T.S.I. Harley Davidson at 398 Somers Rd. in Ellington as part of the "Cop on Top" event to raise money for Special Olympics Connecticut, said he's used to bailing hay in the summer, so spending all day on top of a roof in the sun doesn't bother him. Plus, Littell said, it's for a good cause, so he isn't about to complain.

"Every dollar we raise is one less dollar we need," Littell said Friday as another donor dropped money into the collection bucket hanging down from the roof he was standing on.

Littell spent Friday afternoon from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the roof, and plans to be back up on the roof bright and early at 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. He said anyone who wants to stop by and visit and lend their support or make a donation is more than welcome.
