Police: Woman Stole $26,000 in Jewelry from Glastonbury Open House

A Hartford woman was arrested by warrant Sunday in connection with the January thefts.

A Hartford woman who police say stole over $26,000 in jewelry from a real estate open house in Glastonbury last January was arrested by warrant in Old Saybrook early Sunday morning.

Sharon Lynn Nigosanti
, 43, of 30 Trinity Street, Hartford, was arrested on an active warrant from the Glastonbury Police Department at 1:29 a.m. on Sunday after being detained by Old Saybrook Police, police said.

The warrant charged Nigosanti with a single count of first-degree larceny.

The warrant stems from an investigation into the theft of $26,249.92 in jewelry from a real estate open house in Glastonbury on Jan. 20. The investigation revealed that Nigosanti and an additional female suspect had attended multiple high end real estate open houses across the state and stolen jewelry from those locations, police said.

Nigosanti was held in lieu of $100,000 bond for presentment in Manchester Superior Court.
