Police: Two Men Arrested For Public Masturbation Incidents In Same Week

The incidents occurred on different days at different locations.

A pair of local men each found themselves in, well, sticky situations this week, as police say each was reported to be masturbating in public.

According to Manchester Police Cpt. Christopher Davis, the first incident occurred at the Lofts at the Mills apartment complex on Elm Street on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, when a woman was sitting on a bench outside smoking a cigarette and noticed a man lurking behind his vehicle with his pants down who appeared to be masturbating. The woman became startled and asked the man what he was doing, according to Davis, when William S. Cherry emerged from behind the vehicle with his pants down. Davis said he continued to masturbate in front of the woman.

The second incident occurred at Francesca’s Collections, a woman's clothing store, in the Shoppes at Buckland Hills mall on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013. In this incident, Davis said, Victor Rosa was spotted by a customer naked in a changing room masturbating. Rosa was also found to have a hallucinogen on his person when taken into custody.

Cherry was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, second-degree breach of peace and public indecency. He is being held on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Nov. 6, 2013.

Rosa was charged with second-degree breach of peace, possession of a hallucinogen, first-degree criminal trespass and public indecency. He is being held on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Nov. 14, 2013.
