Police Searching for Local Robbery Suspects

Two individuals suspected of robbing a Windsor gas station are also suspects in a Vernon robbery later in the day.

According to Vernon Police, the two individuals in Windsor Wednesday morning were also invovled in a robbery that took place at a Vernon convenience store that same night.

The suspects match the description of those who were involved in similar robberies in and Glastonbury, Vernon Police said.

Police said that at 7:52 p.m. on Wednesday, they received a report of an armed robbery at the convenience store. Police said a clerk told them that one person entered the store, armed with a large knife, and threatened to kill the clerk if he did not cooperate. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the store, police said, but did not harm the clerk.
