Police Say Alleged Super Convenience Store Murderer Also Robbed Store Earlier

Manchester Police unveiled new charges against alleged murder Charles Wilson Monday.

Police released information Monday linking to an earlier robbery at the Super Convenience Store on Hartford Road involving the same clerk that he is charged with fatally shooting.

Wilson, a 19-year old Hartford resident, is already facing felony murder charges for the May 22 death of at the Super Convenience Store at 469 Hartford Rd. as well as felony murder charges in Hartford for the May 30 shooting of a 74-year old man outside a package store on Albany Avenue in Hartford.

The Manchester Police Department charged Wilson, who is in custody at the Northern Correctional Institution in Somers, with first-degree larceny and third-degree robbery for an April 26 robbery at the Super Convenience Store earlier this month. Police said that Wilson entered the store on April 26 while Sahi was cleaning toward the back, pulled a handgun, and threatened to shoot Sahi if he did not give him money. Wilson then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. Police said Wilson has been arraigned in Hartford Superior Court on the new charges.

Sahi is the same clerk that Wilson is at the store on May 22, in what police described as a botched robbery attempt. Wilson is facing charges of felony murder, murder, and criminal attempt/robbery for that incident.

Wilson is also facing charges in Hartford of murder, felony murder, first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, carrying a pistol without a permit, and the illegal discharge of a firearm for the shooting death of 74-year old Andrew Igidi outside a package store on Albany Avenue in Hartford on May 30.

Wilson is being held on a combined bond of $453,7500 for all the offenses and is next scheduled to appear in court on the charges Dec. 15.

Manchester Police said they were able to link Wilson to the earlier robbery at the Super Convenience Store through the homicide investigation. 

, a Bloomfield resident, is being charged as an accessory in the Super Convenience Store robbery after police say he drove Wilson to the store May 22 for the attempted robbery, then waited to drive Wilson away after the shooting. Dixon is charged with felony murder and first-degree robbery/criminal attempt and is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4, 2012.
