A Bloomfield man was arrested and charged Tuesday with stealing meat from a former employer that was worth more than $10,000, according to South Windsor Police.

Boris Delisser, 43, is charged with first-degree larceny and has been released on a $10,000 surety bond, according to Sgt. Scott P. Custer. Delisser is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on May 2.

According to Custer, Delisser’s charges stem from a February 2012 larceny complaint made by County Distributors. The business's owner alleges that Delisser took chicken wings and other meat products from the business's warehouse and loaded them into an unknown person's vehicle. Company officials discovered the incident after reviewing surveillance footage recorded by cameras in the warehouse, according to Custer.

Upon further investigation, officials discovered that Delisser had done so on numerous occasions and the company’s loss was over $10,000.00.
