Police Make Drug Bust Outside Motel 6 on Tolland Turnpike

The suspect was arrested with a gram of cocaine packaged for sale.

were conducting a surveillance operation outside the Motel 6 on Tolland Turnpike Thursday when they arrested a 31-year old man in possession of a gram of cocaine. 

Police received information that John Glasper, 31, would arrive at the motel with the intent to sell drugs. Police said they apprehended Glasper in the parking lot at approximately 6:30 p.m. upon arrival without incident and found him in possession of more than an ounce of cocaine packaged for sale. The arrest was made by members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force. 

Glasper, who police said has a "long criminal history in Connecticut" has previous arrests for the sale of narcotics and first-degree robbery and was currently on probation for interfering. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to sell and held on a $100,000 surety bond.
