Police Make Drug Bust at Faith Circle Residence

Two Manchester women were charged with drug possession after their residence was searched Monday.

Manchester Police arrested two women Monday and charged them with drug related offenses after executing a search warrant at a residence at 17 Faith Circle in town.

According to East Central Narcotics Task Force, police received a tip about narcotics activity occurring at the residence and obtained a search warrant. Once inside, police said they seized heroin, cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Amphetamine pills, Lorazepam pills and other drug paraphernalia.

Sarah Liappes, 29, and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the scene. Liappes was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school. The second woman was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics. Both are being held on $1,500 non-surety bonds.

The East Central Narcotics Task Force, in cooperation with other municipal, and federal law enforcement agencies, is interested in stopping illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon, and Glastonbury communities.
