Police Charge Massachusetts Man With Theft of Funds From Local Restaurants

Massachusetts man charged with larceny in connection with embezzlement from two West Hartford restaurants and a Glastonbury restaurant over an 11-month period.

West Hartford Police have charged a former director of operations in connection with the theft of monies from several local restaurants, including Grants and Restaurant Bricco.

Christian Lindberg, 41, of 731 Mount Hope St., North Attleboro, MA, turned himself in to West Hartford Police Wednesday morning on an outstanding warrant.

Police say that Lindberg, who worked as director of operations for the Billy Grant Restaurant Group, "peculated" – embezzled – funds totalling $52,228 from three restaurants between Sept. 2011 and Aug. 2012. In addition to Grants and Restaurant Bricco in West Hartford, funds were also embezzled from Bricco Trattoria in Glastonbury, police said.
