Police Bust Up Synthetic Marijuana Operation at Main Street Gas Station

Police say the manager hid the drug in the lottery ticket dispenser and in other areas throughout the store.

Manchester Police arrested a 44-year old South Windsor man Wednesday and charged him with running a synthetic marijuana distribution ring out of a gas station on Main Street.

According to police, Rehan Abro, 44, of South Windsor, was arrested Wednesday evening at the Sunoco Gas Station at 385 Main St. Police said Abro served as the manager of the store, and that they had developed sufficient evidence of narcotics activities taking place at the store to obtain a warrant, working in conjunction  with officers from the Department of Revenue Service.

When police executed the warrant, they seized packets of synthetic marijuana, counterfeit movies and over $2,800 in cash. Police said that Abro hid the drug in the lottery ticket dispenser and in other areas throughout the store.
