The Manchester Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint on Tolland Turnpike at the intersection of Oakland Street Friday night.
The checkpoint will be set up on Tolland Turnpike at the intersection of Oakland Street and the I-84 East Onramp. Both Eastbound and Westbound traffic will be stopped on Tolland Turnpike. The checkpoint will start at approximately 7 p.m. and end at 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
The checkpoint is in conjunction with Metro Traffic Services, a regional traffic squad, and is made possible by a Federal Highway Safety Grant through the State Department of Transportation for the enforcement of DUI offenses.
