Manchester Police Blotter: Man Gives False Name to Police, Three Different Times

The following arrests as reported by the Manchester Police Department are accurate as of March 7, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

If you’re going to give the police a fake name, you should at least know how to spell it. Scott Andrew Grimord appears to have learned that lesson the hard way Saturday. Grimord, a Manchester resident, was arrested in Westerly, R.I., Saturday after police say he stepped off the sidewalk and obstructed the path of a police cruiser. When police questioned Grimord, he at first refused to provide his name or identification, then gave three different spellings of his name and an improper social security number to police. Grimord was found to have an active warrant for leaving the scene of an accident. He was also charged with interfering with police and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Kevin Dean McNeilly thought he could get away with it. Police tried to pull over McNeilly, of 130 Chamber St., for failure to display a front license plate, but he refused to stop and instead took police on a chase. Manchester police terminated the chase, but McNeilly was located shortly thereafter in Hartford. He was charged with interfering with police, engaging police in a pursuit, reckless driving, failure to carry a license and failure to display a front plate.

Joseph Marques, no age given, of 21 Avon St., Manchester, was charged with reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief Saturday after police say he rammed his vehicle into the side of a minivan after a dispute in the parking lot of Walgreen’s.
