Manchester Police Blotter: East Hartford Man Attacks Girlfriend and Her Cousin, Violating a Pair of Protective Orders

Police say that James C. Wallace, no age given, of Brewer Street, East Hartford, attacked his girlfriend and her cousin on June 16, choking them both and throwing them around the room. Police say Wallace then threatened to kill one of the victims.

Wallace was charged with unlawful restraint, breach of peace, violation of a restraining order and first-degree threatening. Police said he had two previous protective orders against the victim and an outstanding warrant. He was held on a $260,000 bond.

Melissa Beth Chesky, no age given, of 176 Homestead St., Manchester, was charged with breach of peace, interfering with police, third-degree assault, and risk of injury to a minor after police said she got into an altercation with her mother and boyfriend in front of a two-year old child.

Nicole Ruffino Carrol, no age given , of 1163 Main St., Willimantic, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle accident.

Johnnie J. Coles, no age given, of 36 Morton St., Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery.

Ronald Herrera, no age given, of 24 Farmstead Lane, Ellington, was charged with third-degree robbery, breach of peace, sixth-degree larceny, and first-degree criminal trespass for allegedly stealing baby formula from Big Y. Police said Herrera has been caught stealing at Big Y before, and told to no longer enter any of its stores. He was held on a $50,000 bond.
