Manchester Police Blotter: Drug Busts, Threatening Arrests and a Neighborly Dispute

The following arrest reports as reported by the Manchester Police Department are accurate as of April 7, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

April 6

Alexis Lopez, no age given, of 18 Linwood Dr., Bloomfield, was charged with possession of marijuana.

Martin Keith Williams, no age given, of 213 Grandview Terrace, Hartford, was charged with two counts of failure to appear.

Lawrence Joseph Havey, no age given, of 83 Main St., East Hartford, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny for allegedly stealing tools out of the back of a truck in the downtown area.

Robert J. Schmelzer, no age given, of 115 Lynch Rd., Lebanon, was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree threatening and failure to appear.

Pamala Denise Johnson, no age given, of 122 Campfield Rd., Manchester, was charged with criminal attempt and possession of crack cocaine.

Benjamin Simmons Jr., no age given, of 38A Elm St., Vernon, was charged with criminal attempt and possession of crack cocaine.

Tyshawn Laquan Gibson, no age given, of 51 Hartford Tpke. Rm. 222, Vernon, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, criminal attempt, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a drug factory.

Renee R. Perron, no age given, of 26B Cottage St., Vernon, was charged with criminal attempt.

Ebony Nikkia Phillips, no age given, of 32 Channing Dr. Apt. H, Manchester, was charged with breach of peace after police said she got in an argument with her neighbor over loud music.

Mohammed J. Khan, no age given, of 32 Channing Dr. Apt. I, Manchester, was charged with breach of peace after police said he got in an argument with his neighbor over loud music. 

April 7

Steven John Hebenstreit, 29, of 333 Homestead Ave., Hartford, was charged with violation of a restraining order after police said he made contact with his soon-to-be ex-wife at Walmart.

Jeremy James Sprague, no age given, of 145 Park St., Manchester, was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after police say he backed into a car at 707 Main St. and then left the scene.

Mary Ann Roberson, no age given, of 14 Church St., Manchester, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Brianna S. Smith, no age given, of 81 Hampton St., Hartford, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and criminal mischief.

Brinsley Cecil Ruddock, no age given, of 73 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint and second-degree threatening after a domestic dispute.

Michael Phillip Reid Jr., no age given, listed as “homeless,” was charged with violation of probation, two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of violating a restraining order and two counts of interfering with police.

James A. Trudeau, no age given, of 2-4 Pearl St. Apt. 8, Manchester, was charged with breach of peace and criminal trespassing at the Mary Cheney Library.

Priscilla Gomes, no age given, of 15D Sycamore Lane, Manchester, was charged with failure to appear.

Peter Policarpio, no age given, of 48 Belden St., East Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Devin Curtis Mullen, no age given, of 422 Briarwood Dr., Manchester, was charged with breach of peace and interfering with police.
