She had some outstanding DMV issues - failure to have insurance type stuff - but they did actually charge her with 2 class C felonies for child endangerment.

I hope concerned citizens can turn our society away from the over-protective parenting that contributes toward sedentary and incapable children. Contrast this felony charge with the story here: http://freerangekids.wordpress.com/2012/07/17/youll-like-this-kid/

If this is prosecuted, unless the kids were naked or something, then the prosecuting attorney should be arrested for being an idiot and forced to pay back the cost of the prosecution from his or her pay.

I wish you'd say what state or province or country this Manchester is in. I guess it's not England, since the weather map says it's 73 degrees and I believe England uses Celcius. I looked at the web map on the page, but I still didn't know if it was New Hampshire (my initial guess because I know of a Manchester there) or Connecticut. It's near Hartford on the map, and I know Hartford is in CT; and I see see no state lines drawn on the map. Now I had to go to Google to see if there's a Manchester in CT or a Hartford in NH or what. Okay, I found that there is a Manchester, CT. You know what? You're on the Internet now. Put some identifying locational information somewhere on your page, please.

you wouldn't believe it if I told you We live 2 blocks from my 12 yr old's best friend. His parents always drive him down here and pick him up here in their car. If my son is coming home, and I tell them he can walk, they drop him off in their car. But their other kid used to run around all hours of the day & night and got his license the day he turned 16. Go figure. People are strange. Wendy, mom of 4 under 16 yrs.
